Temper is expanding its fiery empire to Paddington, marking its fifth restaurant and taking over the former Scandinavian restaurant, Kupp.
True to its name, Temper specializes in flame-grilled meat, offering a carnivorous delight with an array of steak cuts such as porterhouse, picaña, châteaubriand, and T-bone. Accompanying these prime cuts are flavorful sauces like beef-fat bearnaise and Korean barbecue. The menu extends beyond traditional steaks to include mouth-watering options like beef-fat cornbread with gochujang, aged beef nachos, and beef-fat potatoes crowned with melted garlic Raclette. For those craving the Mexican touch, Temper will also showcase its renowned tacos.
While the essence of Temper remains intact, the Paddington location introduces a unique twist with the introduction of the Temper Parilla—an Argentinian-style mixed grill. This ensemble, featuring a 28-day dry-aged 500g steak on the bone, salt and pepper pork sausage, rare breed beef sausage, black pudding, smoked brisket, and smoked pork chop, will be presented directly on the grill. The feast is complemented by triple-cooked chips and a refreshing house salad.
Temper’s commitment to mezcal continues, dominating the drinks menu with mezcal-centric options, including signature margaritas and palomas. For those familiar with Kupp, the new Temper space retains its expansive nature, boasting a sizable outdoor terrace that remains open throughout the year.
